One of the most prestigious and iconic stylist of the New York’s Fall 2015 Fashion Week opened his French apartment doors and we only can say to you: be prepared for this journey! Enjoy an intimate view of Karl Lagerfeld‘s apartment on the Quai Voltaire in Paris, in Fashion Week 2015!
You know what they say, a person’s home says a lot about him. Karl Lagerfeld decorates his home similar to the way he approaches his wardrobe and his work at Chanel. “We are at the heart of a Russian doll: first the clothes, then the apartments and houses. Even the streets and the cities are part of the evolution of our preferences and our taste.”

Lagerfeld’s pad in the City of Light may be in a 1820s building, but the interior is not the least bit outdated. He says his apartment is not a house, it’s a “spaceship for the city where you don’t feel bound by the earth.” Classic Lagerfeld.
Surprisingly though, there isn’t a huge portrait of his beloved cat, Choupette.
In the living room, retractable glass walls reveal a small sample of the huge collection of books by Karl Lagerfeld (40 000, through its various residences). The furniture consists of tables Corian Martin Szekely (Kreo gallery), chairs Marc du Plantier, four leather chairs by Jean-Marie Massaud (Cassina) and a pair of coffee tables in aluminum and glass BarberOsgerby (Established & Sons).
The most impressive part of Karl Lagerfeld’s home is his library.
