Melbourne-based design studio Golden has brightened up a recently renovated family home in Melbourne, expressing a celebration of creativity throughout the eclectic space. Take a look at the amazing results and get yourself some flawless inspiration for your home design ideas.
Combining family-friendly function with a fun-loving personality, Studio Golden was able to sublimely embrace earthy and rustic textures and decorative pieces, allowing each space to be transformed into one that celebrates art, texture, and form. An example of outstanding interior design.
The challenge to work with a recently redone space, adds careful consideration to what to maintain and what to refresh. Elements were considered equally between aesthetic and function. Joinery insertions are artful yet durable, and a set of curved travertine drawers that appear decorative in the living room design were designed with toddler safety top of mind.
Exquisite house decoration and contemporary furniture can be credited to a close collaboration with artisans. A custom whiskey cabinet crafted from aged brass creates a sense of vintage charm, yet surprises with contemporary trimmings such as LED strips that line each shelf.
A testament to a trusting client and Golden’s eye for the unexpected, the material selection traverses velvet, natural stone, rattan, perforated brass, and Moroccan patterns. Sticking to a predominantly natural palette, together the various textures create a space with truly unique interior decoration.
The bathrooms get a special mention thanks to Kelly Wearstler wallpaper, handmade tiles, and a feature Anna Charlesworth wall sconce, reinforcing the home’s layered aesthetic – art deco meets Morocco meets Melbourne creative.
Golden took a truly global approach to furnish Wattle House, with modern furniture pieces sourced from all over the world, from France to Sweden and from the United States to Afghanistan.
We truly hope to have given you good help with your home décor ideas and wish you a great start in the week!
