German-Italian luxury communications authority Jasmine Spezie opened the doors of her luxury apartment in Paris. The founder and CEO of IC Insight Communications, advises clients around the globe and is already thinking of where her next office will be. Of all her real estate, and throughout her travels, her most treasured spot is her art-filled home in the middle of Paris, where she says she never worries about being perfect.
Entering Spezie’s classic, very Parisian luxury apartment, located on the Right Bank, one is immediately struck by the mix of unexpected works of art and design set against a highly traditional and formal interior. The interior designer for this luxury apartment was Carlo Ponti.
Spezie’s luxury apartment opens into a mini-gallery with a spectacular bottle chair by Polish artist Pawel Grunert. A mirrored bronze work by Berlin-based artist Alicja Kwade—who recently installed a site-specific art commission on the rooftop garden of NYC’s Metropolitan Museum of Art—hangs on the wall at right. The painting is by the Swiss artist Pamela Rosenkranz.
The kitchen which, the homeowner admits, gets very little use has paintings by American artist Clay Keter and the overhead lights with a contemporary flair.
In the dining room, there is a marble table and vintage chairs. The light sculpture is by Jeff Zimmerman. The large painting on the left is by American artist Alexander May, and the black and white painting on the right is by Mexican artist Stefan Brüggemann. The bronze console, vase and candlesticks finish off the look.
In the study, a purple velvet sofa and the armchairs give the room a modern feel. The sculpture is by Scottish artist Georgia Russell, and the desk and chair are vintage Italian and French. The large painting is by emerging talent Mimosa Echard.
The main living area features a mix of pieces Spezie has sourced from dealers and fairs. The photograph above the desk is by NYC-based Willa Nasatir.
Also in the living room, a large painting above the sofa is by Belgian artist Pieter Vermeersch. Between the windows is a sculpture by Alicja Kwade and above that, a painting by NYC-based Uri Aran.
In her favourite room in the luxury apartment, the bedroom, Spezie has a custom-designed bed and bedcover. The work above the headboard is by American artist Kent Henricksen, and the one above the vintage commode is by Patricia Treib, who lives and works in Brooklyn.
Art is in every room of the luxury apartment, even the guest bathroom, where Spezie placed a contemporary Chinese sculpture.
