St. Regis Hotel in Thailand
The 47-story tower is located in the heart of Bangkok on the prestigious Rajadamri Road. The five-star St. Regis Bangkok features 227 guest rooms including 51 suites in addition to 53 private condominiums.
HOK provided interior design services for the hotel rooms, lobby, lift lobby, St. Regis Bar, Decanter Restaurant, Luxury Elemis Spa, residences, and associated residence club facilities including a foyer, spa, restaurant, and bar.
InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel
InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel complements and celebrates the past, ensuring that it remains a destination within the highly competitive hotel and entertainment market of Midtown Manhattan.
Built in 1926 by the Vanderbilt family, the InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel is one of the city’s only remaining and fully operational properties crafted in the Federal style prominent in American design from the 1780s to 1840s.
In crafting a new interior for the property, HOK’s design team looked to the hotel’s historic past, infusing birds (the property’s lobby birdcage once housed as many as 200 songbirds), the letter B (found on the building’s exterior cornice) and classic Federalist designs (including stripes, arrows and eagles) as recurring themes.
The Mandarin Oriental’s Suite 5000
Located on the hotel’s 50th floor, floor-to-ceiling windows envelop the suite’s exterior, offering panoramic vistas of Central Park, the Hudson River, and Columbus Circle.
The suite aesthetic draws inspiration from the brand’s Chinese heritage while celebrating the modern character of Manhattan. The suite features custom-made furnishings, highly curated artwork, a dramatic entryway sculpture, a custom, organic-shaped Swarovski chandelier and hand-woven area rugs with textured, free-form edges.
The Washington Marriott Marquis Hotel
Located across the street from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and within walking distance of the National Mall, this 1,175-room, 49-suite hotel serves as a centerpiece for this historic neighborhood.
Custom-designed guest rooms by HOK feature a neutral palette, with interior-facing rooms and suites offering views of the extravagant lobby while those facing the exterior provide views of downtown. Dining venues include casual restaurant Anthem; upscale lounge The Dignitary, which includes a 40-seat outdoor patio; a high-tech sports bar called High Velocity; a lobby bar with locally sourced food; and a specialty restaurant.
The Centara Grand Hotel Bangkok
The team provided architectural and interior design for a new 55-story, 505-key hotel in Bangkok. This is the city’s only integrated world-class hotel, convention center, and lifestyle leisure complex.
The five-star Centara Grand hotel tower houses 505 rooms and suites with stunning views of Bangkok. The tower’s base consists of a multipurpose podium that holds an 11-story parking garage and a cinema complex. The hotel offers eight restaurants, lounges and bars — including a signature rooftop restaurant — as well as a fitness center and a luxurious spa.
