The upper floors of Alexander McQueen house in London, Mayfair, have been under a huge restoration and interior designed into a luxurious duplex penthouse. The refurbishment and design project were conceived by the international design company Paul Davies London that made sure the penthouse provides an insight into the worldwide renowned British fashion designers of all times.
The late designer bought the luxury property, which was once divided into apartments, in 2009 for $3.1 million, with the aim of transforming it into a single home for himself. After his death, the upper floors were left to languish until leading interior designer Paul Davies of Paul Davies London was commissioned to transform the interiors into a luxurious new penthouse.
The newly restored 1,790-square-foot duplex penthouse has brand new interiors capturing the flair of McQueen, the look pairs the Art Deco style and contemporary, offering a definitive style guide to wealthy modern Mayfair living.
The principal rooms feature stunning flooring in black American walnut wood; signature color palette in hues of cream, silver, and black; bespoke furniture, wall mirrors, and custom-made Italian chandeliers. Bespoke joinery and marble bathrooms surely make an opulent statement in the luxury home.
The luxury space is crowned by a dreamy roof terrace, a 10-seat dining area, and two VIP bedroom suites. What is the highlight? The various references to the designer’s trademark skull motif and headgear.
