Fashion enthusiasts have yet another reason to want to spread their ashes at Bergdorf Goodman‘s: Gucci Decor line will land at the iconic New York retailer for a unique in-store collaboration this fall. The two iconic brands are teaming up for an in-store shopping experience.
Gucci will take over the department store’s seventh-floor installation space, immersing Bergdorf’s shoppers in the line’s fantastically luxe style.
“Who isn’t craving living with instead of just wearing all those extraordinary fantastical illustrated creatures and wonderfully wild patterns which took the fashion world by storm?” says Linda Fargo from Bergdorf Goodmam.
Consisting of a range of furniture and home-friendly decorative pieces — porcelain scented candles, incense burner, pillow cases, kitchenware and Chiavari chairs — the debut collection sees the Italian brand’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele inject his popular fantasy-like aesthetic and design elements including Renaissance influences — as seen in Gucci’s Cruise ’18 show in Florence— into unique pieces that personalise any home interior.
Since Michele took over as creative director of the venerable fashion house, Gucci has seen a renewed popularity, with Michele’s adept marriage of iconic staples and whimsical flora and fauna motifs capturing long-term fans and younger trendsetters alike.

The room will be decorated with five wallpapers from the collection as well as upholstered folding screens and needlepoint-cushioned chairs. When it debuts, Bergdorf Goodman will be the exclusive in-store retail partner for Gucci’s crockery collection, produced by Richard Ginori. This and the rest of the Decor line will be for sale in a permanent shop opening immediately following the installation. To tie the decor line back to Gucci’s fashion roots, the brand will also install a coordinating installation on the second-floor women’s ready-to-wear shop.
